Radomes are critically important structures that provide vital protection for the antennas they house from the ravages of severe weather conditions, interference from other antenna systems or radar, or concealment from enemy fire.

In addition to offering unparalleled expertise in the field of RF testing and measurement, ARA-BerrieHill provides radome design and manufacturing capabilities at its 12,000-sq.-ft. facility in Lafayette, Colo.

The company’s advanced radome experience includes:

  • Planar array curved radomes

  • Missile fuze antennas with integrated radomes and frame mounts

FSS radomes feature a specially designed FSS geometry with lightweight composite materials that offer electrically low loss and a high dielectric strength substrate.

We design radomes that meet the necessary requirements for successful long-term performance in their respective applications, including:

  • Frequency/bandwidth – low pass or band pass
  • Angles of illumination
  • Polarization – linear or circular
  • High power – 1 Mw/cm2 (L-band) and 100 ns Pulse/10Hz PRF
