RF Material Research & Measurement

The BerrieHill Research Division of ARA offers unmatched expertise in RF materials research, measurement and analysis to characterize the behavior of advanced materials with certain frequencies and orientations.

The company’s expertise in this area includes:

  • RF material characterization of aerospace materials and composites
  • Dielectric and magnetic property measurements, including permittivity, permeability, conductivity and more
  • High and low temperature
  • Focused beam systems
  • Guided wave testing
  • Resonant cavities

Our work provides critical data for improvements in low observability and overall improved antenna performance.  Additionally, we develop models and simulations, provide data extraction, write tools and provide research for aircraft design and new processes.

As part of its work in RF material measurement, the company operates and maintains the state-of-the-art materials research facility for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

ARA-BerrieHill’s recognized expertise in the field of RF material research led it to be named the point of contact and lead of the AFRL Material Measurements Working Group (MMWG).
