Antenna, RF, RCS Testing and Measurement

The BerrieHill Research Division of ARA got its start in 2005 providing RF material measurement services and has since become a recognized leader in a broad range of related activities, including antenna and RCS testing, analysis and measurement, radar signal processing and antenna test range development and management.

The company’s core disciplines in RF material measurement include:

  • RF material characterization of aerospace materials and composites
  • Dielectric and magnetic property measurements for permittivity, permeability, conductivity and more
  • High and low temperature
  • Focused beam systems
  • Guided wave testing
  • Resonant cavities

ARA-BerrieHill also provides expertise in radar cross section measurements, including:

  • RCS and antenna measurements
  • RF anechoic chamber operation
  • Equipment integration and maintenance
  • Test planning, data collection, signal processing and archiving

Our RF measurement services additionally include:

  • Antenna and array components and radomes
  • Direction-finding equipment
  • Microwave hardware design, fabrication and testing

ARA-BerrieHill conducts its RF testing and measurement activities from its well-equipped, 8,000-sq.-ft. multi-spectral measurement laboratory in Dayton, Ohio, which contains RF and digital test benches, a 27-ft. far-field anechoic chamber and test fixtures for RF material characterization. The facility also has in-house fabrication and machining capability, including a machine shop and PCB milling equipment.
